Amanda is a woman who suffers from premenstrual dysphoric disorder but is wrongly diagnosed with hysteria and sent to a small island in Finland that functions as an asylum. There, she finds the company and empathy of other women in the same situation. Together, they challenge the fate imposed on them by society.
