Tuesday 28, a great day for the Balearic section, in its best year in the festival’s history. LA MISERICÒRDIA
20:30 NACHO VEGAS + “BROKEN ENGLISH”
Nacho Vegas is one of the most influential voices in Spanish indie music of the last two decades. Since Actos inexplicables, considered one of the most relevant albums of his generation, his career has defined a very particular way of understanding songwriting: literary, political, and deeply emotional. At AMFF he will present his new work, Vidas semipreciosas.
That same night, the Master of Cinema award will be presented to the great European actress Trine Dyrholm, known for “Celebración”, “Reina de Corazones” and “La chica de la aguja”.
Afterwards, we will have a very special screening: the new documentary by Iain Forsyth and Jane Pollard about singer Marianne Faithfull. Her final documentary before her death features Nick Cave, Warren Ellis, Tilda Swinton and George MacKay.
A journey through the falls and rises of a music icon, Marianne Faithfull: from the unexpected fame of her early days to her later addictions, her memorable albums and, yes, also her romance with Mick Jagger.
