Like the masterclasses, the talks are our space for reflection. A place where different topics are addressed, ranging from political to literary or artistic issues. In tune with the festival’s own sections—Arts, Politics, Queer, etc.—and the stories told by the films we program. We see the talks as a tool for thinking through what we love most: cinema.

And precisely to contribute their analyses and reflections, we have previously hosted political scientists like Pablo Simón, journalists like Carlos de Vega or Ana Pastor, writers like Annie Ernaux or Pol Guasch, philosophers like Slavoj Zizek, and prestigious artists like Oscar Tusquets. Illustrious names who help us understand cinema not only as an act of escapism and adventure, but also of reflection.
